My personal journey with TRE which stands for Tension, Stress and Trauma Release Exercises, began 11 years ago and has been nothing short of life changing. I can honestly say that I shock out the fear I was holding in my body resulting from childhood experiences and was able to find the inner strength and courage to live my truth rather than the role I had accepted from society expectations. It is at this point in my life that I discovered this technique known as Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises. This therapy helps you release deep traumas and tensions you have been holding on too through the language of the body and more particularly tremors through which your body naturally releases all these tensions. From my ongoing TRE process I am able to stay more grounded and have a clearer sense of self without ego getting in the way. I feel softer. TRE (trauma/tension releasing exercises) provides me with the invitation for my body to express itself and release whatever tension/trauma it has stored or carried over any given time period, without having to think about the how the why and the what. Whilst remaining curious As a Physiotherapist I understand the physical body
Read MoreTRE is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. The exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE) is based on the fundamental idea, backed by research, that stress, tension and trauma is both psychological and physical. TRE’s reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing. After doing TRE, many people report feelings of peace and well-being. TRE has helped many thousands of people globally. TRE is designed to be a self-help tool that, once learned, can be used independently as needed throughout one’s life, thereby continuously supporting and promoting personal health and wellness.
